Creating studio-quality images using professional tools
A module for creating images with extended dynamic range (HDR). The new HDR module allows you to create photos with perfect exposure or stunning surreal images. This module allows you to merge photos taken with different exposures, or experiment with the tone range of images. Try to apply its capabilities to images taken using the automatic exposure function on a digital SLR camera.
Mixing photos. Now you can combine elements from several shots of the same subject, creating an excellent photo. Unwanted cars or people can be removed from the street plot. Or you can improve a group photo by selecting the most successful smiling faces from a series of pictures.
Fill lighting and clarity. You can lighten the shadows without changing the rest of the image by using a clarity filter and fill lighting. This is a good way to draw attention to small details, improve texture and increase the depth of photos.
Selective focus. You can simulate the effect of using expensive tilt and shift lenses without spending money to buy them! The use of selective focus allows you to turn the plot into an image with a thumbnail effect. You can also use this tool to add depth of field and blur distracting details.
Vignette effect. The use of the classic darkening effect near the borders of the photo allows you to draw attention to the main object of the photograph. Use intuitive controls with which you can choose the shape, color and shade of the edges of the photo, as well as adjust the degree of their glow and blur.
RAW file lab. The enlarged preview area in the RAW file lab allows you to get a better look at the images. An improved histogram helps to quickly fine-tune images, and with the help of a new feature for restoring illuminated areas, you can restore details in overexposed areas.
Customization layers. Layers are used to protect the original image, especially for complex editing operations such as adding elements, creating image compositions, applying artistic enhancements or adding text.
Intelligent processing (Smart Carver™). Artfully remove objects from the image with professional quality. Intelligent processing also allows you to expand or compress objects without distortion.
Extracting objects. The integrated Object Extraction tool allows you to isolate an object - even in difficult cases, for example, with flowing hair and fluffy animal fur - so you can either copy the object to a new background, or insert a new background behind the object.
