[li] AkelPad is a compact, yet convenient and fast text editor. AkelPad can work with text documents in single- or multi-window mode, fully supports Unicode strings in Windows NT/2000/XP/2003 systems, as well as Unicode code pages. You can even edit files that have the "Read-only" attribute", and also view them before opening. Among other features of the editor, it is impossible not to mention the multi-level rollback system, the presence of a list of the last documents opened in the program, memorizing the code page for the file, as well as the position of the insertion mark and the last search/replace line.
